Composition of the Rwanda CCM

The composition of CCM-RW consists of representatives from various constituencies3, including government, local NGOs, private sector organizations, Academia/Education, Religious/Faith-based organizations, Multi and Bilateral, PLWDs and Key Affected Populations4 (KAPS).

In line with Global Fund requirements, at least forty percent of the CCM members must be from the non-government constituency; NGOs, Religious/Faith-based organizations, People living with and/or affected by the diseases (HIV&AIDS, Malaria and TB) and Key Affected Population (KAPS), private sector organizations, and Academia/Education.

It is the intention of the CCM-RW to ensure a balanced female representation. In this regard, CCM-RW female membership (members and alternates) shall be at least 40%.

The size of CCM-RW membership shall be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure a balance between inclusive representation and a manageable committee size that facilitates efficient and effective decision-making. The CCM-RW shall ensure the adequate representation of key populations and PLWD taking into account the socio-epidemiology of the three diseases. The CCM-RW may add or reduce constituency representation based on implementation priorities.
